Early 2025, we were at a turning point.

I was burnt and unemployed. Going back to corporate life left me cold, and the thought of going back to a traditional public accounting firm sent chills up my spine. After expressing this dilemma to my wife, she dropped a bomb on me. “Why don’t you go into business for yourself?” Overhearing this, my seven year old chimed in “Yeah! You can call it Lucky Duck Books!”

And so Lucky Duck Books LLC was born, with Spokane Accounting Services as the operational DBA.
